Weekend For Good 2018

Well, one of the most mind-blowingly amazing experiences I’ve had in a long time was Weekend for Good. Huge thank you to Code for Good WM and AIGA WM for organizing that many designers, developers, writers, strategists, etc.

That energy was so electric to be around. I personally recommend watching the clip to see what the Weekend for Good is all about. Even if it’s just to see me in the background of the clip. And hey, ff you’re not in the West Michigan area, maybe be in town for the next one? It’s a hell of a time.

I absolutely cannot wait for next year.

I worked with the Latino Community Coalition for a fast 72 hours, originally as a designer. After I helped their logo redesign get going, we needed more hands building the site – so, I switched to WordPress developer. I learned a lot about fast templating, which was mostly to never develop without Twig again.

Everyone on the team — Luis, Angel, Nika, Mike, Carl, Liz, everyone — was wildly supportive and flexible. I hope that’s not the last time we get to build something.
