Weekend For Good 2022
Embrace Books was the nonprofit I worked with during the last Weekend For Good. You may remember a few past experiences, specifically Weekend For Good 2021 and Weekend For Good 2018. This weekend was shaping up to be about as jam-packed as the past two. While my team stayed very well on track, the weekend itself was the same fun scramble I had hoped for.
Embrace Books
The branding system was rushed, but I think we still got a great composition. I wanted to have an icon that represented a book, and a type system that matched. The font ended up being a top 10 of mine, Bookmania. Something about the way the โMโ curled in on itself really spoke to โembracingโ. The maroon-ish red also is a common color when thinking older books, so that was a natural primary color to pick.
