Weekend For Good 2021

I’d been waiting for Weekend For Good to return for so long. Like most in-person events, Weekend For Good was canceled during the years of the pandemic; I hadn’t been a part of one since the Latino Community Coalition in 2018.

This year, I applied as both a designer and web developer. I wasn’t sure what would be more needed—plus, why the hell not. I was then one of six people that were assigned as “floaters”. I’m sure there were joke references I should make. Ultimately, it just meant bouncing between projects that needed help from multiple angles.

For the first day-and-a-half, I was doing some small digital design and WordPress work with the Roosevelt Park Neighborhood Association. The second half was coding the events page for the DAAC…after a short crash course in Drupal.

This event is so much fun, and I honestly don’t know how I went so long without it.

Interested? Definitely check out their website.

What’s good?

I am currently not taking on any new projects until November 2021. However, I still welcome you to send me a message.
