New Branding for a Third-Generation Construction Company

In the three generations that Vander Kodde has been in operation, the logo did not get an update.

The main goal of the redesign was to make the company look like it was a modern construction company, and not a small operation.

This family-owned construction company has been building in West Michigan for more than 50 years. Known for handling projects in-house and focusing on quality, they’ve established a reputation for reliability. Their updated brand reflects that history while presenting a clear and modern identity.

The VK monogram is formed from diagonal lines that echo the geometry of construction sites. It’s a simple, durable mark that connects the company’s initials to the tools and methods of the trade. The colors also got refreshed to look, well, of this decade.
